SUBMIT A SESSION PROPOSAL

Partnering to Prosper: Joining Allies to Protect the Future

November 5-7, 2025 • Hyatt Regency,  Garden Grove, CA

C4A is seeking dynamic, solution-oriented sessions that showcase innovative programs, effective policies, and promising practices in aging and disability services across California. Proposals that align with the goals of California’s Master Plan for Aging and the 2030 Plan – especially those promoting equity, strengthening service delivery, and preparing communities for the future – will receive special consideration.

Important Dates:
  • Submission Deadline: Extended to July 21, 2025
  • Notification of Acceptance: August 1, 2025
  • Presenter Registration Deadline: August 15, 2025

Who should submit a proposal: We invite proposals from a broad spectrum of aging and disability professionals, including:

  • AAA staff and leadership
  • ILC staff and leadership 
  • Aging and disability advocates, allies, service providers, and stakeholders 
  • State Departments 
  • Healthcare professionals and researchers
  • Policymakers 
  • Community-based organizations
  • Caregivers and individuals with lived experience

Presenter Expectations: All presenters must register for the conference and are responsible for their own travel and lodging expenses. 

Session Tracks: 
  1. Local Best Practices 
  2. Programs & Services Collaborations/Partnerships 
  3. Statewide or Local Advocacy, Organizing & Policy 
  4. Aging & Disability Networks/Collaborations/Partnerships 
Session Formats:
  • Workshops (60 minutes w/ 15-minute Q&A): In-depth sessions focused on practical skills, tools, or strategies.
  • Panels (60 minutes w/ 15-minute Q&A): Discussions featuring multiple perspectives on a specific topic.
  • Presentations (60 minutes w/ 15-minute Q&A): Focused sessions sharing research findings, program outcomes, or case studies.
  • Interactive Discussions (75 minutes): Facilitated conversations that encourage audience participation and knowledge sharing.

Selection Criteria: Proposals will be reviewed based on:

  • Alignment with conference theme and tracks
  • Relevance and timeliness of content
  • Clarity and quality of the proposal
  • Innovation and practical application
  • Diversity of perspectives and presenters
  • Audience engagement strategies
  • Connection to Master Plan on Aging goals 
  • Accessibility of materials for participants with disabilities

Please complete the form below to submit a session proposal for consideration. 

Submission are due by July 21, 2025. Incomplete or late submissions will be put on an alternative list and potentially considered after initial submissions are reviewed. 

Applicants will be notified of acceptance by August 1, 2025.

C4A invites changemakers, innovators, and community leaders to submit session proposals for the 2026 Annual Conference, Future Forward: Leading the Aging & Disability Network.

This year’s conference will spotlight bold, practical, and forward-thinking approaches that are helping strengthen the aging and disability network. We are seeking engaging sessions that highlight best practices, scalable models, cost-effective solutions, meaningful partnerships, and cross-sector collaborations that are driving real results for older adults, people with disabilities, and the communities that support them. We welcome proposals that share lessons learned, promising practices, successful programs, and collaborative approaches that can inspire and support leaders across the aging and disability network.

To be considered, please complete the application form below by July 31, 2026. Applicants will be notified of selection decisions by August 20, 2026.

Presentations should address scalable models that smaller organizations can realistically replicate without the original grant funding, and include potential funding sources, where applicable.
This could include financial tools, systems to increase efficiency with reduced resources, and sharing programs that have real, measurable impacts.
